About the position

Trill Impact is now looking for a CFO who will replace our interim Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will work closely with the rest of the management team to lead and develop the company. The CFO will play an important role in building scalable structures, processes and organization within the finance function and across the company as Trill Impact continues to grow.

The CFO has an overall responsibility for the Finance function of Trill Impact AB and subsidiaries as well as the Finance function of the funds. This includes ensuring financial stability as well as full compliance with legal and commercial law, agreements and requirements. The CFO will work both strategically and hands on across a broad variety of topics and is an important leader within the company. Other responsibilities in the role include:

  • Act on the Boards of Trill Impact group companies as well as Fund legal entities
  • Ensure proper communication with various parties (deal-teams, IR, operations both internally and outsourcing providers)
  • Be a go to person across the company incl. coaching team members in complex issues such as portfolio company valuations, liquidity planning and management
  • Act as Head of treasury and ensure proper liquidity planning and cash management of the Trill Impact Group and the funds
  • Handle various financing agreements such as fund RCF’s as well as within the Trill Impact group
  • Continuously develop processes, ways of working, systems etc. to ensure quality, efficiency and scalability
  • Lead and develop the Finance team

Experience and qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have/be the following:

  • 10+ years of experience as CFO or in other broad, leading finance role
  • Ideally experience from an established PE-fund or equivalent
  • Good understanding and experience from managing complex legal structures in several countries, incl. handling contacts with banks, auditors and external service providers
  • Ability to communicate with investors and discuss complex legal and tax matters
  • Good understanding of a broad range of tax matters (transfer pricing, VAT, income tax)
  • Demonstrated capabilities in running process improvements and operational efficiency projects including systems/tech support
  • You are proactive, able to work independently and make decisions where necessary, driving projects and task to completion
  • You thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with short decision paths and a “can do” attitude and are willing to work both strategically and hands on
  • You are an excellent communicator and an appreciated leader, with the ability to build trust internally and externally
  • You are fluent and have strong business proficiency in English
